Some Giggles in the Park!

March 2nd, 2010

Some of my favorite moments when photographing is when kids are just being sisters. This session was a lot of fun. The girls like posing for me, and when we weren’t working, we were playing!

Christmas In Las Vegas!

March 1st, 2010

My mother moved to Las Vegas back in 2003 after my father passed away. Although holidays are still sometimes hard without dad around, it still is fun to celebrate the holidays with family in Las Vegas. These are a few of my favorite pictures from Christmas 2009.

Welding at Kishwaukee College

While I was doing my Marketing Internship at Kishwaukee College I was able to photograph different aspect of the college. One of my favorite sessions was when I captured images from the welding class. It was fun to watch the students mark sparks and weld metal together. Here are a few of my favorite! They can also be seen on the Kishwaukee College website. www.kishwaukeecollege.edu.

Kohler, WI

February 23rd, 2010

When it comes to remodeling bathrooms, the only place to go (besides Home Depot) is the Kohler Museum. What a hoot! Who would of thought, that toilets and faucets can take up a whole day of ‘oooohing’ and ‘awwwing’. I even included some self portraits with my wonderful travel buddy…. my awesome hubby Steve~

From the begining years….

February 23rd, 2010

For the past several months, I have been going through old client files. To some degree, it feels like I’m going through a time capsule. Its fun to look at negatives and say “She had such a beautiful dress!” or “This groom had me in stitches… he was funny!” Some of memories even include thinking about how awesome the cake was at the reception! But what I found to be interesting, a common theme with each negative I looked at, was the fact that I really miss all my past Brides & Grooms. I spend one of the most important days of their lives with them. Sometimes I am lucky to photograph them as their families grow, but often enough they go on to live their lives, and I continue meeting new clients. Well, what I take from that is, every day I spend with a bride and groom is just as important and meaningful to me as it is for them, and I am so happy to be a part of it.

Galena, Illinois

February 22nd, 2010

My husband and I try and travel a few times a year. A few years ago we spent a week in Galena, IL. It is a beautiful town to explore. From Grant’s Home to local wineries, we had a blast! (On a side note, we went for a week….. it really is a weekend trip! Just so you know).
