I get really excited when I have a new place to photograph engagement pictures! Katie and Derek chose to have their engagement pictures to be taken at Brookfield Zoo. It was a lot fun visiting with the animals and taking their picture at all the fun exhibits.

 I never pass an opportunity to photograph a family candidly. The Hicks family and I spent a fall evening at the Ellwood House in Dekalb, Illinois. There were hugs and giggles through out this family portrait session. When there are giggles in the air, I think it makes the images even more beautiful!

 Kathy & Mike got married in Northbrook, Illinois. The reception was held at the Deer Path Inn in Lake Forest, Illinois. Before we arrived at the reception, we made a stop to take some amazing pictures at the Lake Forest Beach. Being at the beach that day with this couple was one of my favorite moments from their wedding.

 Chris & Alicia got married a few years ago and actually have their first child now! I still remember the fun I had photographing them and wanted to show off a few of my favorite pictures from their special day. They got married at The Fisherman’s Inn in Elburn Illinois. It was an out door wedding on a perfect summer day.

Well, I am back in the swing of updating my blog and we’ll start off with this wonderful engagement session. Kelli and Shawn’s session was on an extremely cold day. But what worked for this session was doing most of the pictures in the house. It was fun to explore the house and come up with some neat images for the two of them to treasure forever.

Sarah and Matt got married at the Round House in Aurora, IL, a small out door wedding held in the center of the round! With the exception of a touch of rain, it was a beautiful day, and the ceremony was quite romantic.

I love photographing children. Especially when they are at that age where they start to say no… a lot…. and more importantly they say no to me. I always respect the no…. wait a few moments, then call out their name and see what can happen……

Lynn and Ivan’s fairy tale wedding was on Friday June 27th. Lynn looked gorgeous in her wedding gown and was all smiles from the break of dawn! Ivan looked amazing too, and wasn’t afraid to show himself off in his tux. It made for a great day of photographing!

Sometimes I hear “There are sooooo many to choose!” Well, I decided that sometimes, more is better! One of my biggest selling products are my 16×20 collages. They sell for $275.00. My clients love these, their favorite memories all wrapped into one picture!

Ashley & Phil got married at Immanuel Lutheran in Hinckley, IL The setting was beautiful, an old historic church in the middle of the country, and their reception was at the Riverside Receptions in Geneva, IL. That particular day the sky was an incredible blue filled with white fluffy clouds. It was a beautiful day for thier wedding. I asolutely fell in love with Ashley’s dress from the moment I saw it hanging. It was so beautiful, and she looked great in it.
